The whole 'c00n' & 'nikka' thing is strictly an [African]American concept... honesty people from Africans don't don't care about that nonsense :yeshrug:

I know many who are light skinned I'm Nigerian. Nobody said it was typical or whatever, but some are.
I swear some of you guys need to get out more.

what are you even responding to me for?

light skin is not typical in nigeria or west africa regardless of how many u know that are light skin

if we all understand this, what's the purpose of the back and forth unless some of you feel some kind of way

I didn't say it was. I simply asked a question. Either answer it or don't.

I know you are very knowledgeable about Africa which is a good thing but there are too many claiming to know Africa on here and dissing their brothers and sisters off being lighter skin tone which is there in Africa including West. Not saying you are hating, Im just pointing out the situation.

I don't know world you live on but just because they are light skin or have lighter skin doesn't mean they are mixed. I've met many in my travels light skin West Africans with no mix at all. I've met light skin Nigerians.

Mullato means Mule so are you saying the light skin and Habeshas are mules?

Habeshas Run of the Mil....:ufdup::camby:

never said because they are light skin they are mixed.....I'm just saying that some of the Ethiopian tribes NOT ALL....but some like the Amhara and Tingriya/Tigre (or however the hell you spell it) have known Arab/Middle Eastern admixture

its the reason they look different than the typically darker skin/taller/skinnny Borana/Afar/Somali/etc.

originally I'm guessing the entire East African population looked something like this

compare that to the typically lighter skin, shorter Habesha.....now there are some in each tribe that look like the other but the general rule is the lighter skin/shorter are the Habesha and the taller/darker skin are part of the Cushtic tribes.

Breh, Ethiopia by itself is complex as fukk you talkin bout the second most populated country in Africa after Nigeria. You only showed the Cushytes of the East(Afars in particular, the curved dagger and hairstyle is a giveaway), the West has the Nilotic people who are more related to the Dinka/Nuer of South Sudan, Eritrea has several different groups aside from Tigrays, Somalis run the gamut in terms of looks, only Djibouti is easy cuz its just two major tribes.

I take issue with the Arab thing too because Ethiopia(ns) predate Arabs for one, Habeshas officially began at Axum which was well before Islam but our looks has more to do with all the trading that was done. Axum was one of the top economic capitals of the Ancient world during Rome's heyday so given that the trade routes to India were through Axum's shores many different people came there including Indians, Chinese, Persians, Syrians, and Greeks. It's our ancient relationship with India imo that made us look distinctly different, part of what always made Ethiopia exotic to Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans was the spices we had(cinnamon for instance) which were originally from India. So you can imagine what Axum was like, spices, exotic skins, ivory, gold, slaves(lets be reality:ld:), incense, etc all in one spot so everybody who was anybody lived amongst the Cushytes including people that no longer exist like the Sabeans and the Yemeni "Habashats" whom some believe the term "Habesha" came from.

Are you dumb? The guy said he meet many west africans that were light skin with no mix. Also I clearly said it is not typical, which leads me to believe you are retarded
