Then the Walking Dead is definitely a black show.

That's good if white people have a conscious which they don't.Just saw it and I loved it.
The message was basically you dont always have to be heavy handed to get white people to learn how racist they are and how racism still exists. Because as we've all seen, they get defensive, deflect and derail. Instead, you can hold a mirror to them. So they can see for themselves.
It didnt end leaving white folks off the hook as it showed photos of all the recent blackface parties in universities.
It touched on a lot of points without getting too deep.
Id love to see more movies like this.

Blackface is pretty bad but the movie focused on microagressions of white people who think that we live in a post-racial world.
So what would you have had them do? Seriously. Have the white folks hang a noose? Kill someone on campus?

I'm saying this movie really does not address the issue with white people.
This movie is telling us to tone it done when engaging white people with their racism.

Well there's a lot of things they put in it that I didn't like but I didn't like the whole 50/50 that blacks have look at themselves as well.

I didn't see it that way. The only person who "toned it down" was the mixed girl because her own issues, and in the end she really didnt. She just used a different way to fight it.
Like previously mentioned, the movie is about identity. She did what was expected of her, at the end she did it her way. And other people ended up finding their voice and fighting back.
It would have been unrealistic for me to expect a "f*ck you cracka and eat a dikk!" type film. But it would have been interesting if the film were to tackle the everyday struggle of blacks and tackle the stereotypes whites place on blacks, but from what I am hearing that film is not about that. Instead the exact opposite. Not only does it not touch base on the everyday struggle if blacks but adds to the stereotyping of blacks.
PS: A Tyler Perry movie seems much funnier than this film.
Why is it black peoples' responsibility to "hold up a mirror" and show white people how racist they are? They aren't imbeciles or unaware (even though some pretend to be).
