b) the data mining, leaks, map speculation based off the leaks
c) general anticipation

They’re just kind of following the trend of other big publishers. Nintendo dind’t market Tears of The Kingdom until like two months before release, same with Sony and their games now.

even a game like Split/Fiction didn’t even get announced until 3 months before and it still sold like crazy. The year long marketing cycles are just a waste of money for the most part

Nah, the marketing cycle is probably going to be short. A lot of games do this now. 2K is under the same Take-Two umbrella and they start marketing their game about a month before release.

Been trying to tell yall this is how Take-Two does things nowadays. Games like NBA 2K and GTA are gonna sell regardless, so they know they can get away with a short marketing cycle.
My prediction is we might get a “Here nikka damn” trailer either next month or May to hold us over and the marketing cycle ramps up late summer with a release early-mid October.

Both of them eventually. Cause you know...I'm not broke. So I'm perfectly fine buying 2 games at full price and then just not playing one of them until whenever I play one of them.

Cod devs with their Activision budgets can't even get AI to help them with a 15+ year old cut and paste formula without the getting found out and laughed at lol. Best usage for AI would be to farm and mesh creative ideas, but when it comes to the actual creation there still needs to be humans there with a vision to run with
