I agree but every new PC game can be played above 4k, not just GTA. So it's worth it to some people, but definitely a niche market at this point.

so between the 4K tv and the computer hearty enough to run the games, we are talking about $4-$5000 just to play these games????? Sorry, but 1080p still impresses me.

That's cool but we look at it like an expensive hobby. Nikkas collect cars and sneakers that cost a lot more than 5000. I know dudes with 20,000 home theatres and almost that much in dvds and blurays etc. If I spend 1000 hours a year playing games it's really not that much money. Plus, I can afford it.

You can play This at 4k30fps with a 7870.

According to Rockstar, the recommended specifications are based on hardware that can run the game at 1080p, at 60 frames-per-second. For that, Rockstar suggest a Nvidia GTX 660 2GB or AMD HD7870 2GB"

To run the game on a 4K display at 30fps," says Hoare, "you’ll need at minimum an AMD HD 7870 or Nvidia GTX 760 with 2GB of VRAM."
As for the 4K at 60 frames-per-second, that'll require a "high-end SLI or Crossfire setup."

What about 4k/60fps though? That's what I want to know as far as costs. :lupe:
if you have to ask the price, you probably can't afford it :sas1:

for me hearing it can run at 4k and 60fps is good news, because it means there's no bottlenecks holding it back, and it should run great at 1080p on my system

I can afford it quite easily my friend. The issue is whether it's worth it. :sas2:

If u need a $2500 computer plus a 4k capable monitor, it's not even worth it just for one game. I know cats with 4k TVs are starved for content, but :comeon:
With a 1080p screen you can downsample to 1440p/4k so you can get an idea of what you're looking at. To me 4k isn't really a huge change to go crazy over it. It's nice for taking screenshots but for gaming there isn't a big graphic jump. I can play the new DBZ game in 4k/60 you can't even notice the difference. Mirrors Edge looks nice in 4K but like i said it's not huge bump.
