He should. I think GSP has brain damage. He was on Joe Rogan saying hes losing time when he drives. Ending up in places with no idea how he got there. Give Hendricks the belt.

that's pkucking terrifying, its like an alcoholic blackout

Right decision by GSP all around. You could tell in his post-fight interview with Rogan that he needed a break, and he needed it desperately. And he also did the right thing by vacating the title. We do not need another Dominic Cruz situation. Georges, thank you for a remarkable job on the wonderful career you have had thus far, and if this is the end, it's been a great ride.

And if he comes back and gets an immediate shot as a result, he has very well earned it.

I also liked how he seemingly pulled a fast one on Dana and made him look stupid. Dana had been poo pooing this announcement, and now the egg yolk's on him. Lovely.

And though I would have preferred a tournament instead, I think this is a very nice matchup of Hendricks/Lawler.

And if GSP should ever make his return, it would be a glorious setup for record revenue, PPV buys and all the like. They could really play up the angle of "The Champion returning to win back the title he never lost". So it's good all around.

Rest up, relax, and come back strong Georges.

:salute:

doesnt deserve a title fight yet; he's won 3 in a row at WW, but against Koschcek (:what:), Voelker (:wtf:), and MacDonald (:ehh:); still dont get why lawler is ranked 3rd :snoop:
If not Lawler then who else? The only other guy is Condit and he's only coming off 1 win plus he already lost to Hendricks.

if he's not into it mentally right now it's a recipe to start catching those massive ass whoopings cats take when the hunger subsides and the pack starts catching up to you. he's been saying for years that he's not going to fight into mid 30's

It was scary watching him have no option but play the must point system game against Hendricks because he had no answers for him in any area. As a fan i'm happy for him, few things are sadder than watching your faves start getting snuffed out and especially by cats they shouldn't be (Fedor v Big Foot/Werdum/Hendo) :to: for instance

if the Lawler that beat Rory showed up shows up Johnny better come prepared to work.

I want Condit to get into contention now, he's my 2nd fave at WW

He said he thought he has been abducted by aliens. He didnt want to say he was because that would sound insane but he said the way his memory is lapsing, i guess it feels like hes being abducted. Said he'll be on the couch chillin and feel like he lost hours. Rogans like *yea thats called sleep* hes like but i feel awake.

I wasn't the biggest gsp fan, but its shame he's leaving the sport. But what a better way to go out while still on top. Its good he got out when he could because Hendricks was gonna beat him in the rematch anyways. This decision may open the door for a nick diaz return if he wants to make another run at the title.

I like Hendricks vs Lawler for the vacated title, but a 4-man tourney would've been more exciting

one of the goats...easily the best ww of all-time. rarely do we get to see the greats go out on top. good for him.

although i hate to see him retire, it certainly makes the ww division much more interesting. with gsp out of the picture, that belt becomes attainable for a lot more guys.
