Nah....that's not really a daily term though. Just funny because of Plies accent etcWhen Joe budden says bike
nikkas that's 28 and older talking about "ima slime him out" or "gang gang"
Even worse when nikkas use slang that ain't even from our city
My homie pulled up on me a few weeks bacc we chopping it up this nikka talcn about "on foe nem"
Sooo we should still have grown men out here calling people "jive turkey"? If I'm reading you right. Everyone should hold on to the slang from their generation?
Nah not really. In Philly nikkas used to say "capping your head up" in the 90's which basically meant lying to someone. I just feel no cap/cap just a new age way of saying a similar thing. But to be clear...Cap came around too late for anyone 30+ to have picked up and use conversationally. I say it only to be cheeky because its cringey.
Lit has been around since you were like 23Time's change. Language evolves. There's a balance. You don't want to be the old head talking about "what's the dealy yo?" but you don't want to be the old breh using too much new slang.
I'm 30. I didn't grow up saying "lit" or "cap" but we here, and we saying it now.
The Velvet Soul said:That's right. We still bust a dope move. Stupid fresh all day. No diggity.
Cappin was a slang word in the 90's.
It just came back popular recently.
shyt go listen to those DJ Screw and SUC mixtapes.
I heard there were networking rooms on clubhouse full of professionals calling other rooms "the opps"
