Growing up Denzel was considered the Goat, how old were you when you realized Jamie Foxx & Samuel L Jackson were better actors.

I believe Jamie could’ve played any character Denzel has played. Denzel could not have played Django or Willie beamen.

Denzel is a true leading man…. Denzel couldn’t have played Ray like Jamie(no one could have). but Jamie couldn’t have played Lonzo or Malcolm like Denzel…. Jamie is better at characters that have loud personalities… Denzel is better in more serious roles

Its giving you’re young and what you’re watching doesn’t connect the same :childplease: Bc people of a certain age understand Jamie Foxx is more of an impressionist. He can play other real life people well but he’s not a top notch actor in the truest sense. He’s not even fukking CLOSE to Denzel.

Sam Jackson that’s a a more respectable opinion even tho it’s wrong

But, to reiterate, if you think Jamie Fox is comparable to Denzel Washington you have no clue what you’re talking about

Could you expand on this. You mean that Fox is imitating other lives while Denzel makes it seem as if he's "living" them, has more depth?

I’m dead ass serious. Jamie could’ve definitely played Alonzo, could Denzel have played Django? Willie beamen? His own character on a sitcom? Jamie’s range and believability is unmatched.
I do think Jamie is more versatile, as well as Sam...but Denzel has an intensity, even more than Sam that neither one of them have. Jamie couldn't be the Alonzo that won an Oscar that we all love.

Maybe if that Tyson movie got off the ground, I might have a difference of opinion.

All three are nice, talented, and better than each other in certain respects though.

Have you ever seen Glory? Young Denzel would have bodied that role.

Jamie Foxx has range but he is not better than the current top 3
In no order:
Denzel
Samuel L Jackson
Jeffrey Wright

Jamie is in the next tier with Will Smith, Terrance Howard, Larenz Tate, Chadwick Bozeman (RIP), and a couple of others.

Jamie Foxx is 100% multi-talented but nikkas gotta stop like this man is some elite actor. I can’t take him serious in serious roles.

Whenever he tries to look serious it always looks like he’s gonna bust out laughing at any second :dead:

You know why?

yes, watch collateral. He can definitely play all three roles.

I think Fox comedic relief has people subconsciously forgetting he can get down with the serious shyt.

I was 23

Edit: I'd moreso say that Jaime and Sam jack. Have a much wider range than Denzel imo. As far as who's a better actor, that comes down to personal preference. I tend to be drawn Jamie and Samuel L. Range and variety, but I can't knock Denzel's iconic roles. I'd dmsay Denzel is definitely a more "powerful" actor for lack lack of better terms.

But Denzel's role in Esquire was a good demonstration of his range that we never really get to see.

Collateral was one of the most boring movies ive ever seen. Denzels charisma alone wouldve at least had me not checking out.

Jamie is better at movies where he can do an impersonation of someone, and of course comedic roles. Whenever he is playing just a non descript character, hes never been good to me. He doesnt have the charisma to just play the role of a regular person imo. So no,i dont think Jamie couldve played John Q ,Training Day,Fences.
