Group Economics? Why are blacks afraid to take that leap and be free?

Why are blacks scared? Group economics for blacks would be a good thing, out unemployment rate gap would shrink. No need for discrimination or Affirmative Action. We'd be alleviated from the nation's financial strain.

Why can't blacks understands whites do this to you EVERY day of their lives, in every aspect?

Most blacks aren't willing to make the sacrifice to support black owned business. It is very difficult to find black owned businesses to begin with so it presents an inconvenience just getting there. And many of us aren't aware of the benefits of group economics. If just one community led by example and people were to see it's benefits, more folks would put it into practice. It would have a domino effect.

Because they brainwash you into forgetting you're a minority, so just because one individual is "nice to you", doesn't mean they have the insight to understand that not everyone OF THEIR RACE has the same sentiments about blacks. This creates the inconvenience that @TheReckoning is getting at. Most blacks don't wanna "upset white folk" so they put on their tap dancing shoes and turn a blind eye to blatant disregard for the well being of their own people.

Meanwhile Hispanics and Jews form up on brehs DAILY putting together networks that are beneficial to them....but when blacks do it it's always some honkie in you face talking about "we're one race, let's do it together" ...so you start talking about you can't eat that manifesto TODAY, they don't have an answer for you.

We gotta learn to do this shyt ourselves.

Black people don't have that sense of communalism, and for that matter neither do white people. The only people that do are immigrant groups from their respective nations who have established, homogenous communities in various locales.

Group economics for black people would be a good thing. As for why it doesn't happen, there's an obvious historical explanation. Black Americans were brought here against their will, stripped of family, culture, spiritual bonds, broken up, scattered around, mixed in with other races, integrated in with whites,and conditioned to compete against each other for the last 3 centuries. I don't think it's fair to say we're scared. We just suffer from a unique mis-shapen history and culture that's led to a weird dynamic.

That's a completely different dynamic than a group of ethnically homogenous immigrants from Italy, Nigeria, Cambodia or wherever it may be that start a foothold in some locale. They see one of their own and they're like Black Americans and white Americans both are so heterogeneous in every way they see one of their own race and they're just another person. It wouldn't be that bad if we weren't socioeconomically at the bottom. White people can get away with it because such a great proportion of them have been middle class and higher for generations. Even that's changing though.

What happened to being judged on the content of our character? I have a Master's in African American Studies from Cal-Berkeley, so I probably understand black people better than most of you.

Its unfortunate really. By right, the black american leadership is supposed to be pushing these concepts (entrepreneur ship, group economics) to the masses, but the church and the intelligentsia have sold themselves out to corporations. More and more welfare is all they seem to care about getting In the end, resulting in a more dependent, subservient, and easily controlled people.

Blacks NEED to become more entrepreneurial and start spending with each other. But to achieve this, black neighborhoods have to be safe places to live. And until the gangsta mentality reigns (i.e. stop snitching), this will never happen unfortunately.
