Witten doesn't deserve to be in the HOF, sorry. He probably will make it because of his numbers, but I don't think he deserves it. He was never a threat that scared anyone or that the defense had to gameplan for. He just had longevity and health. He was like another Brent Jones or Jay Novacek. He was never Gonzalez/Sharpe/Gates level.

If LT wasn't on the same team dude would have anywhere from 10 to 30 more TD's than he does. The guy has ridiculous hands and is one of the best route runners of all-time. It's truly remarkable how open he was all the time because he'd destroy coverage and the defense also knew where the ball was going on plenty of his TD's but still couldn't stop it.
Imagine if dude had Brady throwing him passes. The fact that Rivers and Gates hold the most touchdowns between a QB-TE shows that Gates has made Rivers look like an elite qb (Rivers never was elite), could just imagine what that number would be with a top-tier QB.
