While they weren’t the favorite in 1994 (Montreal was) they did lose 1 postseason to the strike.

They SHOULD have beaten the Yankees in 1996. Even if that Yankees team was good, they had a 2-0 lead in the series. As much as Jim Leyritz’s home run was a huge moment, I think the real killer was Game 5. Smoltz was dominant for 8 innings and Andy Pettite pitched into the 9th of a 1-0 Yankees victory.

If Atlanta wins that game, momentum shifts and maybe they take the series.

1997 they ran into a hot Marlins team.
1999, nobody was beating those Yankees.
I think that 99 team would've lost to whoever the AL team was. If the Mets pulled off the comeback they would've lost too. That NLCS drained both teams
