Pretty sure you are the guy that couldn't understand why an electric car isn't always practical.

You seem like a really ignorant person

:manny:

I'm not some anti car guy either I've always owned sports cars
The judgement:wow:

Yes, these pickups and garbage like the Hummer EV are veeeery hungry on the battery front. You can do better with those batteries and their sizes. Something like a base Prius only has 0.75kwh capacity, while the hummer EV needs 210kwh (perspective). Prius can keep emissions down 80% vs gas only. That's 210 Priuses worth of battery just in one Hummer EV. Ford Maverick Hybrid is about 1.1kwh of lithium in comparison.

I wish subsidies on hybrids persisted, and a part of me wishes hybrids were required if a company builds a consumer ICE vehicle.

Forgot to add, I also think raising registration costs and taxes on vehicles based on physical dimensions and engine size is another place to start.

Come on, Bro

How as a grown man I'm trying to explain to you I can't charge an EV where I live and you just don't get it

Yes I'm judging you

Department of Energy

Nothing would be wrong with this if we weren't drawing most of our energy from fossil fuels.
Lol. Dude, you’re hauling a 2+ ton load. The wattages in question are on a different scale. Of course it’s gonna use more energy than everything on that chart. What the kinda comparison is that :russ: . Besides, unless you’re driving 60+ miles a day, I damn near guarantee you that electric heat(furnace) will consume more over a 30 day period than charging your car
And tell me, what’s better, everyone driving around their own fossil fuel based generator, vs fossil fuel-based electricity being generated and distributed from a central location

Idiots would rather destroy civilization than give up some ethereal "way of life" they were conditioned to worship by TV commercials and action movies.
Unfortunately, as you know, getting a consistent public transportation stance that’s actually acted upon is way more far fetched in this silly ass society than it needs to be, and the sprawl is mind boggling. Better to make some type of efficiency inroads where we can, is my view.

It’s not what’s better, it’s we need to do better. :what:
