There are hundreds of Green Lanterns in DC. 5 are Human. Only 2 have gottne the most shine in recent memory. 1 of them got so much attention that folks started thinking there was only a Black GL. Alan Scott, the gay one, isnt even a real Green Lantern. Dude is irrelevant. DC went so far as to make the Earth 2 Alan Scott a homo. How is he mainstream when he's been retconned outta continuity and he's from an alternate universe?

I haven't read more than one or two issues of the new Ultimate Spider-Man but I don't recall him being gay. That seems like the type of shyt Marvel would be press releasing like the second coming of Jesus.
Plus isn't that new Spidey kid only like 12 or 13 years old?
