I understand that, but how many marriages make it on a comic cover? I stopped reading about 10 years ago and the only one I can remember was Scott and Jean. And when did Northstar from Alpha flight ever become big enough to garner so much attention? For years he was just secondary character. It just comes across as a tactic to cash in on a hot button topic and generate some media buzz, which imo cheapens the state of comics. Generate buzz with great story lines not this stuff. No one collects or subscribes to see hot button political issues addressed in comics.

but this is such a blatant attention grab it is transparent. They called him Iconic when we know damn well Hal Jorden is the iconic Green Lantern. I mean any casual fan should know the green lantern is a damn weapon.
