They usually get an extra day or even two day credit towards sentencing for everyday on the fire team, can pretty much cut their time in half

A friend from our run group is out there helping fight fires. He only makes a little over minimum wage but he says they work long hours. Sometimes around the clock. He usually only works during the summer fire season and rarely works this time of year unless it's training. He's a front line guy that will go into the heart of fires but they're not actual firefighters like at a station. He said they get no PPE to help with breathing. They just raw dog the bad air.

They get 2 days credit for every day worked, plus there's programs to help them become firefighters after their sentence.

It's actually a decent program despite the low wage, time off their sentence is probably worth far more to them.

Agree and disagree. Big issue is infrastructure. No idea what they is and it’s above my pay grade… but unless you have some sort of irrigation or sprinkler system, materials, or laws in regards to plant life, it would be idiotic and prolong, yet again, the inevitable…. This will take years to rebuild and get correct

Yeah he is. He's still fairly young and has been doing this for about 7 years. He said you get used to it but It still sucks. He's a fast runner so it isn't affecting him yet but it will at some point.
