Was a huge disappointment when I first heard it but I've grown to really love some joints.

Plus props to them for going in a different direction.

Dangerous Mindz :whoo:

yeah i mean they kinda had to since the jiggy era was damn near full blown by then and horrorcore was long played out by 97. i did miss prince paul's presence though, dude is so fukkin underrated as a producer and this lp did indeed suffer as a result of him giving complete creative control to rza, which is crazy to say since rza was killing shyt back then. prince is kinda like dre in the fact that even if he isn't doing the actual production, he oversees and can add those little things and give advice that can take tracks from good to great.

i still rock "hidden emotions", "dangerous mindz" and "the night the earth cried" pretty often though. the rest is too hit or miss to me and there was too much dope shyt that dropped that fall for me to force myself to like some of the cuts on there.

A very different sound to the first LP but still a great album.

I don't think RZA was ever nicer on the mic than on this album. He just killed shyt. Anyone who calls RZA wack on the mic has clearly never heard this album. His verse on The Night the Earth Cried :whew:

The sound of the album is more haunting than the tongue in cheek horrorcore of the first album. They sound like a completely different group. It might lack the energy of Six Feet Deep but it actually has more depth and content.

Dangerous Mindz :noah:

Twelve Jewelz :damn:

Still think Prince Paul should've had more beats. Don't know whats was up with that.

I agree, this was a great album. A lot of solid joints on there. Dangerous Mindz is one of the best hip hop tracks ever...an fantastic display of the GraveDiggaz's rapping ability.

I think that y'all slept on this joint though:

Some real mystic shiznit.

I agree, these guyz are slept on as a group. One of the best groups and pioneers of the horrorcore rap subgenre. :obama:

You know - this is one of the albums I never checked out. I wasn't crazy about Gravediggaz steez in general, so I let it go by.

...But the song/vid for "The Night The Earth Cried" was tight, though.
