I think this was dope
I started feeling kinda bad for the guy 30 seconds in
I think this was dope
I’m not saying “Fukk the fan base” at all. But every promotion has heels. Every promotion has guys that fans hate. And the GREAT thing about Enzo and Cass is that the fans hate them, hate their style, and would pay to watch storylines where they get their ass kicked by their fan darlings... OR they’d boo the shyt out of them when they beat the fan favorites; all of which you need in wrestling, especially if you want your promotion to grow. Otherwise, ROH will be the same fan favorites flipping around or grappling for 40 minutes in front of the same people chanting “you deserve it” during every match. Adding Enzo and Cass doesn’t mean your promotion is trying to “be WWE” it means you’ve added two dudes to your roster that people recognize. How you book it from there is on you
And it doesnt hurt that they have the WWE stink on them so that more people watch your promotion.
To be 100% honest, I as a casual fan outside of WWE could not tell you the last time I watched ROH. But if I saw a thread on here with Enzo and Cass in an ROH match, I’d watch it to see how they did. That’s how your broaden your fan base
I couldn’t tell you the last time you and I (or rather me and anyone) discussed anything ROH, but here we are. And it’s not because of their style. It’s because they did something different (for them) with two guys that have name recognition to AND outside of their hardcore audience.
They’re still working y’all
While y’all stay clowning TNA it’s really ROH that hit Larry Holmes status in the world of wrestling
You go from Joe, Danielson, Punk, Mcguinness, Aries to bring carried by Kevin Omlette and eventually some dude named Dalton
That explains why Bully Ray looked legitimately pissed off.
I admittedly havent watched RoH consistently in about a year or so, so I just assumed it was chugging along fine as that number 2 promotion in America with indie darlings and still having solid matches and even when the Elite left I figured there was still enough good talent there it was doing fine plus they had the NJPW deal and helped with All In etc
So to come to find out people hate and say its worst than TNA when it was coming apart and all this other stuff has me
It aint the absolute worst that some people here claim it to be, from a wrestling standpoint its still good. The crockett cup tournament is off to a good start if they keep putting out matches like this
Do you think part of the backlash to it is people kinda hoping New Japan breaks off the agreement and joins AEW and figure if they speak a lot about it in the IWC and pro wrestling sheet world it will speak into existence?
Honestly ROH has made some really dumb fukkin decisions as of late. But they've been around for 17 years they'll be just fine.
Preach. The new LAX are fukking amazing, Fallah Bahh is babyface status, they have Killer Kross lurking the main event scene.
Kiera Hogan getting into the Rosemary andAllieplot, Moose fukking with The Rascalz, Penta and Fenix cutting promos like modern day digital gods
Last night's episode was solid as fukk. I watch on twitch, Melissa Santos talks it up on commercial breaks, her and Callis chatted after the episode...
