forget the roster for a moment, their biggest mistake (Marks AND Tsai) has been bending over for KD and Kyrie in a way where any muscle they could flex on anything can't be taken seriously. Kyrie lil bro'd everyone from the moment he got there. and for whatever reason, they never established the fact that the buck stops with them, not KD and Kyrie.
Once they let Kyrie come back in the face of the ban they instituted for Covid, they became those wives that would be on Maury who get controlled.
Kenny Atkinson in the end turned out to be the big winner in all of this. They let him go, he goes to GS, wins a ring as an assistant and is so bulletproof that he took a HC job with Charlotte, saw that shyt going south immediately and backed out of the agreement to little or no criticism at all.
Kyrie is deemed unfit for the Nets, yet Ime fukking co-workers Udoka is???

I don’t even think that was the problem. They installed a first time coach on any level with little to no power to deal with two superstars. That shyt hasn’t worked since Spoelstra and only because Wade already knew him. If Udoka is the coach from the jump or Ty Lue, half that shyt doesn’t happen. Kyrie been on that bullshyt from the jump. You could play good cop/bad cop.
