CDL Practice Tests For All States | FREE 2018 CDL Test Preparation

Take the 3 main endorsements at the DMV

General Knowledge
Airbrakes
Combination

Go to the link, and take all the tests for all of the endorsements. For me personally I never read the book to get my endorsements, I just used this website
Come to a CDL school with your permit, and you'll be set

True that. Use this week to study for the Passenger and General Knowledge test for the Paratransit job. Like ASAP go online and take all the tests on that website and take the test at the DMV on Friday, you'll pass breh

Go to the DMV at lower Manhattan near Bowling Green, they are the best one IMO

:salute: good looks breh... there's a dmv office off of sutphin its always empty I'll go there...

I'm about to start studying online then I'm going to go get my permit. Then I'm going to have to find a company that's going to help me pass the driving part without going to school does that sound like a plan?

About to study for the permit. U still have to attend school tho? Dumb question...

Lol yeah. But technically you don't. If you have someone you know who has a Tractor trailer sitting around that is willing to teach you for the necessary hours, and would have to take the tractor trailer to the DMV so the DMV test guy would allow you to take the test with it

Easier way is get a company to pay for all of your schooling, and you work for them for 8 months to 1 year

Or go to a CDL school, whether a private one, or a community college and see if you can either get a state grant or pay out of pocket

Didn’t know a trucker thread was on here. Got my CDL thru a company in 2016. Currently leasing my my own truck thru that same company. Started leasing in April. Been ok so far.

Any owner operators/lease operators want to put me on game? I’ll take any knowledge.

Ok is there a benefit to getting the permit on your own? I was told to try that way then go to a trucking company because its looks better. Idk bruh

Thats tricky cause if you go to a Trucking company thats trying to sponsor you, alot of times the schooling would be out of state and they'll send a greyhound ticket for you to get there. So if you get a Permit that is out of state, I believe it would be cancelled and you would have to take the test again in that state. You could be lucky and a trucking company has a school in your state

I mean, I would still try to get it cause even if you have to take it again, you will have a leg up on everyone who is taking it for the first time

Is that school 30 min from you gonna pay for all your schooling? Or you gonna pay out of pocket?

When you first get your CDL, there isn't many options for someone straight out of school to do a local job, cause most jobs wont touch you cause of no experience

The only ones I see that would hire someone straight out of school local is like the CDL shuttle drivers that go back and forth to plants, or Food delivery or Dollar General/Family Dollar runs (Both of which are labor intensive)
