I only got tested when I got my job, I did get a random alcohol breath test.

Drug test and physical every time you get a new Trucking job
And you'll get called up randomly to take a test once a year

When trucks fail. Who do truckers call? I'm fairly certain most drivers diesel or otherwise aren't mechanically inclined

The terminal, your driver manager.... They'll set up whatever is needed....The companies have a list of who they want to use wherever you are....
NOT WORTH IT. TOO MANY LUCRATIVE CONTRACTS/LOADS YOU WOULD HAVE TO TURN DOWN. AND SNEAKING A FIREARM ONTO THE PREMISES WHEN THEY HAVE SIGNS UP PROHIBITING IT IS A FELONY.

IF THE CARRIER HAS GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS IT CAN BE AS FREQUENT AS MONTHLY IF YOU'RE UNLUCKY.

I don’t mind turning down lucrative contracts and loads. The lack of truckers makes for plenty loads to make sure I always got options to pick up and deliver to places who don’t search your vehicle from head to toe. Carrying on your truck is nothing new and to get contracts and loads that have that security that high you would need to be an owner op or be in a company that only accepts employees who drove for years.
Sneaking a firearm on premesis in a Distribution Center and keeping it in your truck when delivering is a felony in all states is what your saying? Can you post a link to support that claim?
I know that millitary and correctional grounds is a felony charge but not delivering to walmart DC.

At my job we have that sign posted at the entrance. So if ur caught you might be in a bit of trouble & it will get back to your company & they may throw you in the bushes over it. But honestly, I think a lot of drivers still do carry.

Now that sounds about right. That’s walking into the premesis and not having it in your vehicle to boot.

Most truckers just have it in the truck at a costumer so that’s no worry since they would have to search out the truck fully. The danger where we might have to take it out comes from other places like truckstops and routes so we will never need to take it out of its holding at costumers anyway.

Another question Lets say one doesn't want to do OTR or drive a big rig. Is a Class B CDL still good for finding work, and if not at the same high salary wise, at the very least decent?
