Wade coming back has set this offense in order. We were worried about how Wade's return would effect the youngsters chemistry and speed, but this team(especially the youth)is streaky so they needed an old head like Wade to direct the offense and put everyone back in their natural positions thus putting things back in order.

Oh yea and its definately mutual cause u look at wade’s value here compared to cleveland and this is what bron wanted him to do there but it was old ass vets. He is a diamond here but a lump of shyt to any other team cause his heart wasnt there just chasing that check but he needed to experience that to humble himself into that mentor role

He got his mentor back in Wade
Wade effect I remember when wade left, justice was the most shook one out of the group...dude is young...what is he barely 21? Gonna take him some time
True. Wade really is like a mentor/father on the team. Didn't realize how shook Winslow mightve been from Wade's departure.

41% from the field overall but once you adjust it to compensate for missed wide open layups/dunks it gets close to 50% :whew:
This frustrates me the most :snoop:
And to be honest he does not miss "wide open" layups as often as we make it seem. But there are often layups against/over defenders that are surely makable and he misses damn near 90% of them. If he could make half of them he'd be good. We have 3 seven footers he could practice against on the team. You think he could use them to improve on that.

i think Wade has an impact on our half-court game more than anything.

Dragic, Winslow, TJ, JJ and J-Rich are all great when it comes to running the floor or leading the break in transition or fastbreaks and they tend to try and push the pace. Especially Dragic who tries to play full speed/push the pace even when the opponent already has its defense set.
But Wade's presence helps settle things down a bit in the half court which helps for us to take advantage by using our front court players (Whiteside, Bam, Olynyk) in pick-n-rolls

Justise definitely needs to learn to get more creative around the basket instead of just trying to go up and muscle it in every time. He'll go up thinking he's gucci only for the defender to deter his shot slightly and it looks like he didn't even get close to making it.
At the very least he needs to learn the patented Dragon iron shoulder move to just push people out the way so he can free himself up for easy lay ups. One thing you gotta love is he's still being aggressive when he goes to the rim, make or miss. You've gotta figure he'll get better at finishing eventually he just needs the reps against NBA competition. Missing most of last season really hurt his development.

Yeah if he pump fakes, then he makes this easily

Earlier in the year i'd seen him post up in the paint and back his man down for a little fade-away J. He didnt always make it but he was efficient at it enough that i was really hopping he'd keep doing it.

Was that shot late in the clock? Seems extremely rushed. Smart think to do would have been to take one hard step and jump up. Griffen would have had no choice but to foul as he was already airborne. But again Winslow is NOT a leaper. He needs a good running start to get up there with the ball
