Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
:wow:

so brehs, as of now what should be our expectations in the post season? I know we can take on pretty much everyone in the east. it should be interesting. losing dion and TJ might hurt a bit though, should we try to target a player like mirotic? the bulls would probably let him go for the low :lupe:

TJ gon be back. I think we good.

Bucks gon be a problem when they're fully healthy as well

Olynyk and Ellington were out there looking like the Globetrotters :scust:

Olynyk is slowly becoming one of my favorite players on the team. I think i told y'all i had a good feeling about this signing after watching his youtube highlights. Prior to that i never knew he had range like that

How many picks do we still owe other teams?

Edit: Found it

2018 first round draft pick to Phoenix
Miami's 1st round pick to Phoenix protected for selections 1-7 in 2018 and unprotected in 2019 [Miami-New Orleans-Phoenix, 2/19/2015]

2018 second round draft pick to Memphis, Phoenix or Houston
Memphis will receive the most favorable of its 2018 2nd round pick, Charlotte's 2018 2nd round pick and Miami's 2018 2nd round pick and Phoenix will receive the second most favorable and Houston will receive the least favorable of these three picks (via Memphis) [Charlotte-Memphis-Miami, 2/16/2016; Houston-Memphis, 6/22/2017; Memphis-Phoenix, 9/22/2017]

2019 second round draft pick to Minnesota
Miami's 2019 2nd round pick to Minnesota (via Charlotte) [Charlotte-Miami, 6/26/2014; Charlotte-Minnesota, 2/10/2015]

2020 second round draft pick to Cleveland
Miami's 2020 2nd round pick to Cleveland (via Boston) [Boston-Miami, 7/27/2015; Boston-Cleveland, 8/22/2017]

2021 first round draft pick to Phoenix
Miami's 2021 1st round pick to Phoenix [Miami-New Orleans-Phoenix, 2/19/2015]

2021 second round draft pick to Portland
Miami's 2021 2nd round pick to Portland [Miami-Portland, 2/18/2016]

2023 second round draft pick to Dallas
Miami's 2023 2nd round pick to Dallas [Dallas-Miami, 7/7/2017]

So we still owe 2 1st rounder and a bunch of second rounders. Not a good position to be in. We gave up too much for Dragic in hindsight.

Nothing against him as a player. Dude can flat out play. But Riley is one of those GMs that has never valued draft picks much and moving forward this is not a good approach in today's NBA

Most of those second rounders are from the Big 3 years. Also have to remember we had two HOFers in tow when we made the Dragic trade, I think it was a worthy gamble at that time it's just too bad we never got to see him and Bosh together.

I agree but 2 1s was still a steep price to pay for Dragic. I know Riley's vision was to have a core Bosh/Wade/Dragic while Winslow came along slowly but Riley has always been know to not care about draft picks and rookies. Mainly because he's never been great at picking young talent but now that we're doing a better job of scouting and drafting those 1s and even 2s would have come in handy.

ANyway, what's done is done so i hope we can hold the fort for now with what we got

Some of the guys showed up for Whitesides big day :mjcry:

When you see how things can get with guys like CP3 and Blake, Kyrie and Lebron, and even how the Magic didn't go to Jonathan Isaac's sermon...you really feel like these guys have legitimate relationships with each other. They're all each other's biggest fans and supporters which is so dope.

They'll tell you that trust Dion absolutely to make big shots. They'll tell you they absolutely trust Whiteside and he should be a DPOTY. Or that J-Rich can guard any PG in the league.

I think that helps so much with the chemistry and also allowing players to defer when they off and the next guy is hot. I think when we get honey badger back its going to be a big problem for the rest of the league

The thing people ain't getting bout Rodney is that EVERY cat on the team and in the organization got the utmost respect for him which is rare. They use him as an example of heart and compare him to Udonis on his toughness level. That shyt is high praise. When JJ saying you tough as fukk and Riley telling you to get better because you got a spot here, it means something.

Cats ain't ready. Rodney was looking REALLY GOOD in pre-season. Imagine having a consistent 3 point threat at all times and another elite defender?
