I'm a physician, I've taken care of 1000s of orthopedic patients (i'm an internist and do medical management of these patients perioperatively). I mentioned this earlier in this thread, but in discussing with my ortho physician friends, and in my experience, his recovery will be 4-6 months for a standard fracture dislocation at the ankle. he will be walking in a couple of months. stay in your lane.
He's a pro athlete playing a sport on the highest level. Also he's on a nine figure contact. Rushing him back isn't in the best interest of the Celtics.

where did I say it was in his best interest? I only stated the medical fact that he would theoretically be ready within a certain timeframe. what he/his agent and the celtics decide to do depending on how the team has fared is up to that point is on them, it would not be unreasonable to play him if he is medically cleared, and it would not be unreasonable to hold him out regardless if he and the organization feel it is best for their longterm prospects. don't twist or take incorrect inference from me stating medical facts.

Watching that game last night, you realize how big of a loss Gordon is. He would've been the perfect compliment to Kyrie. Now Kyrie will feel the need to force the issue (hero ball). The young guns (smart, brown, tatum) are talented but not great enough to be the #2 option.

We'll see what miracles Coach Stevens can perform.

lol, I already explained why earlier. all you coli "docs" crack me up when I am a real-life physician and explained things thoroughly.

not a physician, but they said his surgeons stated that his bones will be healed in 6-8 weeks, so yeah, he should be walking. I really think he will see the court in 5 months, I dont think anyone wants to miss a full year of court time.

his agent said he will return to All Star form (what else would you expect him to say?)
the language used by him was "Gordon is not expected to play this season" (meaning they wont commit to anything but if he plays he plays)
the language Lin's agent used was "Jeremy is expected to miss the season" (meaning it would pretty much be a miracle if he does)

the day of giving timetables are over. agents are not going to commit to anything. its too much pressure on the player and the team/coaching staff because media is gonna bug the shyt outta them every time they see them.

If they are saying IT will be ready by Jan, you better believe they think he can return before that because if its after Jan, then everyone will know he's fukked up pretty bad.
