As soon as he came down I saw his ankle fold in real time and screamed so loud my lady came running into the room. His shyt looked way worse than mine, and my shyt was so gruesome the docs were making faces when I came into the ER

Granted, he has the best docs and best trainers available to him, but look at Chandler Parson's steep decline. This is disastrous. We'll never know how good Gordon Hayward could've been with Brad Stevens. Damn shame.

What type of pain did you feel when it happened and your adrenaline wore off?

Was it a pulsing throbbing pain or a sharp pain like being stabbed with a knife, or a burning sensation?

I’ve had brehs who have broken their leg and they have described different sensations.

Some didn’t even know it was broke until the tried to walk and couldn’t.

I got a rod and 6 screws in my ankle.. Took 3 months to heal another 2 for complete running and jumping around

For comparison (for whatever it's worth), Odell Beckham Jr was diagnosed with a fractured ankle; his left just like Hayward. They happened essentially the same way, with the leg getting trapped underneath their body. Except Odell had another grown ass man pulling him down whereas Hayward's was just his body weight alone. You can see just how much more devastating structurally Hayward's injury looks compared to Odell's:



You can't go with the general terminology used for the injury, especially since last I heard maybe ten minutes ago, Hayward was still in the arena.

It's not just a fracture, it's a break and an extreme dislocation. Same shyt happened to me in January, and his shyt looked even worse than mine. He's going to need the bone to heal, going to have to pray there's no ligament damage, probably will need a couple screws in there, then will have to start a rigorous rehab routine to get back to walking, running, and cutting comfortably. He'll probably never be the same, and will be more of a spot-up shooter than anything. His athleticism wasn't amazing before this, so forget about slashing. Terrible. His prime was going to be fun to watch.

After the painkillers wore off it felt like someone was repeatedly stabbing my kneecaps with knives. I couldn't walk so I was just sitting there wincing like while I waited for my girl to come home.
