In a cap driven league its the quickest way to build depth....

Whether its Pippen with the Bulls, Duncan's Spurs or the Heat...Almost every dynasty has had super star players that are willing to take less than their market value..

The cap forces you to make a decision between winning and being as rich as you want...Its not fair but its reality...

I don't begrudge anyone for taking the $$... I know I would...But you can't say that winning is the most important thing to you and take up almost 40% of the pie like Kobe is doin in L.A. Even if you are "worth it"
That's what the owners wanted. If a player takes what he's worth and the team doesn't build around him as a result, that's on the front office. The players didn't make the rules, the owners did and if they want to make it hard to build when players are paid what they're worth, it's on them.

Goran isn't taking anything less than 18 mil I would saym hopefully the market dries up with Rondo going to LA and the Knicks spending money on a PF or C and we can low ball him

:russ:

why would anyone give this guy 18 mil?

seriously, why?

rondo is worth 5 mil a year

one day these teams will learn

these guys aren't championship level impact guys so i'd rather live without them instead of overpaying them

I don't think so bruh. He had a pretty weird season. Mainly becuz of how PG heavy it was in Phoenix. He did ok in Mia but not great. If he was great, they'd been in the playoffs. I'll say 12 mil at the most.

I agree with both of yall, but that's the way it is in the NBA. the Superstars like Lebron, Kobe(in his prime), etc get underpaid their worth while guys like Dragic get overpaid.

Riley painted himself into a corner with trading 2 #1 draft picks for him, you can't lose him. Hopefully the market sets itself properly and we don't have to overpay but :manny: he's a 29 year old second tier Point Guard. what did Kyle Lowry get last year?

Kemba was NEVER an all star level player

nikka been the only player in NBA history that could live off his NCAA tourney run forever. Dude barely even a starter to me
Miles Simon is watching Kemba's career play out wishing the Bobcats/Hornets were around in his day. :mjcry:
