I just watched the videos. What exactly was so embarrassing about them? It was just some 20 year old guy talking about gas and job creation.

im sure it'll attract some, but the real hipsters thrive on doing stuff they deem is unattractive or uncool (detroit is a shyt hole and mom says its unsafe, lets move there!). most would probably sit on the cement block and discuss the old white men that likely concocted this advertisement rather than sheepishly go along with it

dont even remember when i repped you lasti'd agree but the end of the article is right. the first law of the hipster constitution is "fukk mainstream". these ads, especially if they somehow get popular, go against that

Why any clear thinking young person would ever vote for Democrats is an absolute mystery to me. By far the most important issue facing millennials right now is high unemployment. Considering that virtually every policy that Democrats support (minimum wage laws, Obamacare, Keystone pipeline) results in fewer Americans working you would think that Democrats would lose credibility. Then you have to consider that Obamacare results in a massive transfer of wealth from young, healthy people to older, sicker people. The same is true of Social Security and Medicare where young people are paying into programs that probably won't be around when they are older........and Democrats are doing everything they can to prevent any kind of reform. Lastly young people are supposedly concerned about privacy issues and the Obama administration has greatly expanded our country's surveillance state.
Or maybe young people voting against their own interests is OK as long as Obama does cool things like slow jamming the news with Jimmy Fallon and filling out brackets on Sportcenter.
