@FAH1223 have you seen any discussion/articles regarding the legality of HR1/SB1 and if it's something Republican judges can effectively stop from being implemented in time for the midterms/redistricting?
Wow thats very disheartening. I guess thats why there has been hesitation with some moderates to get rid of the filibuster. Because in that scenario imagine you scrape the filibuster to pass HR1/John Lewis Act only for the courts to strike it down as unconstitutional. Then when the GOP comes to power they get rid of the filibuster and go balls deep in destroying the country. We have to pack the courts to make sure this doesn't happen.Main discussion I see is Congress didn't explicitly say that HR1 only applies to congressional elections, since that's what Congress has constitutional authority over. Making it applicable to presidential elections just seems to ensure it would get thrown out as unconstitutional.
