I read majority of the Fear Street series. :noah:
For real though, Fear Street was R.L. Stine's best stuff. Though Goosebumps was popular I went from one to the other as I grew up because people were being KILLED in Fear Street. Made by the same author and I found out later that he made books for people of all ages so basically you could follow the dude's work from a child(Goosebuimps) to a teen(Fear Street) to an adult(Whatever the name of those books were). More authors should do stuff like that, it's brilliant. And your readers who were once kids can now pass along their old Goosebumps books to their kids, so you basically always have folks reading your stuff.

But yeah, Fear Street was great. That Cheerleader saga was good as hell.

The fact that Fear Street felt so much more mature from the dialogue to the situations the characters were in to the straight murders was just bliss for me as a teen.

The fact that there was NEVER a Fear Street TV series always made me :upsetfavre:

There was so much potential and so many creative ideas(in Goosebumps too but obvious that one was more popular) Still though, R.L. Stine is one of my favorite authors because he shaped the way I think about horror from a young age. I grew up on reading that dude's books and some of the stories and ideas still stuck with me.

Dude had some of the most generally creepy stories back then. And the covers like Goosebumps were always good and notice how different the tone is in the covers. Much more realistic stuff scares you as you grow older.

Only actually ever read a couple, found out years later on the net that there was like 100 of these fukking books.... Still, was a cool series in my childhood.

Was mad as fukk when they cancelled the television show (Which, like the books, felt a notch more mature than anything goosebumps ever did).

the fights in those series had me like :ohhh::merchant::whew:
