Benny > Mach Honey. Mach often can venture into Danny Brown weirdo territory, along with getting some unappealing beats here and there. He’s like 50/50 when it comes to production. Benny straight up has a great rapping voice for one thing, and really good rhyme schemes without sounding like he’s reading the thesaurus and trying to fit every syllable possible into a few bars. Also, his production is diverse from one project to the next. Plugs I Met sounding nothing like A Friend Of Ours, which sounds nothing like Tana Talk, which sounds nothing like Stabbed & Shot.

And Conway is very dope, he’s just had what sounds like a ceiling on his production for some reason, like it hasn’t hit the gear that Benny and Westside Gunn’s production have. EIF and London Pound showed me that more consistent production like that would do wonders for him.

Mach by miles. Just the way he presents his music, the beats, his vast knowledge and how he shares it through his rhymes. He ain’t a simple punchline rapper. I think Mos def said it best when he described MF Doom: he raps as weird as I feel.

Repped because this post is 100% fax, especially the Mos/Doom analogy

I'm at least part of this Conway narrative that's going on so let me at least explain my angle of it.

I think they each occupy a specific space within the goon sphere. WSG is lifestyle rap. Conway is shoot 'em up rap. Benny is hustler rap. Now, out of all these styles I've always found the shoot 'em up heavy raps to get old the fastest.
:manny:

when all 3 are on a track together, it works. its semi diverse and you get just enough. when they solo.. just the same shyt over and over again.

The bugged out thing to me is that Conway didn't use Daringer on EIF 2 or EIF 3 right? But yet on 75% of those projects he used beats that might as well have been Daringer anyways.

If you're gonna go outside of the usual suspects, I think you might as well actually get something that sounds different.

This is a hard one for me. Been bumping both of these all week, and I think I’m going with Mach by a very marrow margin. Super tough call, and I might change my opinion later on.

Bandana is better than both though. :myman:

We got WSG coming up too. Good couple weeks for my fellow goons and I. :salute:

This is like saying you mess with prime Kobe, but prime Shaq and prime Magic are better players. He's in elite category regardless.

im just talking about the two projects vs each other. I think Benny is a better rapper but I cant put Plugs I met over Wap Konn Joj if Benny dont even have the best or 2nd best verse on the project.

I'm not trying to throw too any shade on Mach or his guests by saying this but there's a big fukking difference between having Quelle Chris, Fahim, and Earl (who I love) on your project and Black Thought, Jadakiss, Pusha T, 38 Spesh, and Conway.

:manny:If Black Thought is on your album you're automatically not gonna have the best verse on your album. Not to mention Push, Spesh, and Jada are all arguably best known for stealing the show on other people's own tracks.

that's a fair point. Benny definitely trading bars with better rappers
