Has anybody else been noticing the deterioration of google search?

all the articles in the first page paid their way to be on the first page
they all push a singular narrative
can't find any torrents
they are removing vasts amounts of info

i said years ago this is bound to happen but TLR ...

The more informaiton google gathers, the greater the degree of semantic understanding search needs to be able to correctly sift through the ever increasingly mountains of data to find people what they want.

And then on top of that you have google's commerical behaviour.

Maybe the whole thing will swing back around to include a thematic "directory" structure sub-division of data otherwise it will get increasingly hard to use.

They just have to make better search tech. Google search is compromised and the current model will increasingly get worse under the weight of growing data.

Search needs more semantical / user info and needs to give the user greater control over the result set.

Saying that, if apple track and trace too, it's a poor substitute.

Google Maps is declining. Had me on a wild goose chase last weekend
Google Maps is almost dangerous to use if you're really unfamiliar with an area. I was in Beverly Hills a few weeks ago and the shyt kept telling me to make a left turn in places I knew for a fact you have NEVER been able to make a left. If I was from out of town, panicking trying to get somewhere and/or too trusting of the app that bytch would've had me turning into oncoming traffic.

Between that and the fact that it has you making all kinds of unnecessary U-turns and shyt it's damn near useless.

For desktop users, you can use an extension called, Personal Blocklist(not by Google).

It allows you to permanently disable specific sites from showing up in your Google search results. Nothing for mobile though.

When you search, you'll now see a link at the bottom of each site giving you the option to block that site. Pinterest was the 1st on my list Jesus Christ

Imagine your mind was inside a box that was locked and the only one who held the key to decide which signals get in and out is called Gee. Now lets ponder that Gee had millions, if not billions, lined up in his cognitive complex all doing the same thing. Then consider how easy it becomes to influence and mold the awareness of those who don't realize the true nature of traffic shaping as Gee's presence is almost invisible and people don't question what he tells as they think they're getting answers.

Its deeper than the web... None but ourselves can free our minds.
