let me ask you guys a serious question

as technology advances, as we completely become enthralled in the marvels of applied science,
where is that threshold at which we cross and we become existentially secure enough to see no need to use said technology to subjugate anyone except in true self-defense?

can't anyone else see this approaching? I find myself wondering this every time I see a new video game or movie set in the distant future where man can harness and tame all known (and some unknown) forces of the universe to go so far as even travel in time, but yet can't rid himself of war or the hunger of domination.

of course there is, conceivably, right now, it is the speed of light and universal entropy, the latter I feel confident we won't ever overcome

I see where you are going, but nothing in the history of our species lends itself to the idea that we can be conflict free...

Nothing I proffered relies on history
as a matter of fact my statement specifically presents a new paradigm never seen before in history

There are too many factors involved to seriously consider such a change. Lets focus on the approaching emergence of skynet, and the inevitable matrix.
