You do realize the first generation of self-repair robots exist? They will build, repair and upgrade themselves in the not too distant future. It's life. We asked for this.
already thought of that
it will be a statistical comparison between rate of human error vs. computer error and the computer will win out every time
in addition the computer will have better responses to errors and fixing errors, as it will not have emotional concerns
this is why the self-driving car will be upon us in 2015
