Goodfellas vs Casino?

Own both on DVD. Classics. Goin with Goodfellas. Goodfellas had a wider variety of personalities and was a more “fun” movie. Casino was way more dramatic, especially with Ginger’s depression and drug use.

Not to mention,Joe Pesci was comedic gold in Goodfellas. He was a very funny guy...

Goodfellas for me. I know every line from that flick. Casino and GF2 fight for #2 for me.

i prefer casino.....of course de niro and pesci was top notch but the character that always gets me is ginger....sharon stone was an absolute mess from start to finish.

I like how they made Ginger look pretty to start off the film and by the end, we see her literally degrade looks-wise into the ho she really is.

casino...good fellas was a very good flick...but I read the book first (wiseguy) so I still felt the movie left a lot to be desired...I personally enjoyed casino more

I'd read Wiseguys before seeing Goodfellas too.
And every Bill Roemer book on Chicago's Outfit and knew that whole story before seeing Casino.
Casino was a huge undertaking. There was so much information packed in a short (albeit, long ass movie) time.
More about the real white collar crime with unions to make Vegas tick.

They're both great, but I like the aesthetic of Casino more.

It also has DeNiro's last great work of acting. Just look at him during this scene; you can actually see real rage on his face. I was convinced that he genuinely wanted to kill Sharon Stone.
