Goodfellas is a classic but what about Raging Bull?

Classic 5 Star De Niro movie. I had this on tape when I was a kid for a long time and never watched it until I got bored. Of course I still think Taxi Driver is in a league of his own..just WAY too many fukking quotables. The way De Niro talks about the New Yorkers is hilarious.

Raging Bull>>Goodfellas imo they did Jake Lamotta justice with that movie.

but Goodfellas is more my kind of movie...I watch it all the time...I don't think I've watched Raging Bull more than two or three times total.

Goodfellas is more watchable and entertaining...but Raging Bull is a more important and influential film in the history of the artform, and along with Taxi Driver Scorcese at his absolute artistic peak.

I tell ya when I was younger goodfellas was untouchable to me, but now after seeing Raging Bull alot its underrated. So many good scenes and alot of underrated shyt. Cathy Moriaty looked good as hell younger in her role as LaMattas wife, Pesci was ill as his brother...just a great movie


Im prepared for the hate but Goodfellas just isnt ill to me anymore, the same way some peeps feel about Scarface I feel about Goodfellas

Yeah but I mean amongst fans. Like I always hear cats talking about Goodfellas. If I knew nothing about Scorsese's work, I'd think that was the only movie he made because cats talk about it so much, lol.

Was walking around Best Buy looking for random Blu-ray Disc to buy and ran across Taxi Driver. Not sure how you can call it trash.

Now, Goodfellas is a classic IMO. I really do think Scorsese did a wonderful job with that movie as well as the actors did too; Pesci, Deniro, and Liotta etc.

But to critique Scarface on it's own merit, that movie is horrible. Like it's unintentionally a funny movie.

I've seen most of his stuff as well and I can see how someone can watch certain stuff of his and be like . I do the same thing with Stone and I'm a big fan of his work too.
