Goodfellas is a classic but what about Raging Bull?

I feel like cats sleep on this movie so hard, it's not even funny. It might be my favorite film directed by Scorsese. Although it was based on a true story, Scorsese still did a fantastic job of directing. Deniro, Pesci, and Cathy Moriarty did outstanding jobs of acting. Scorsese's use of camera angles really shines bright in this film too. Everything about this movie is done perfect (great script, excellent acting, great directing etc), it's a classic.

Yeah, when I first saw this movie a few years ago, I couldn't believe just how perfect everything was about it. It's just an all around epic movie.

I knew this was Deniros best acting when he was punching and banging his head against those walls

Amongst film buffs/critics I'd say that Raging Bull is just as highly renowned as Goodfellas. It's a harder film to watch though, also older, so it's easy to think that it doesn't get it's respect. But people "in the know" feel that movie.

All that said, I personally feel Goodfellas > Raging Bull

'Raging Bull' gets more respect than 'Goodfellas' amongst film critics.

I didn't know people didn't know or think this was a classic. I prefer Goodfellas but this s arguably DeNiro's greatest performance.
