For top indie guys like they had during the Black and Gold days, NXT really should just be more like a glorified orientation program to learn and adjust to the WWE way and maybe get trained on mic and character work.

They don’t need to be taught to wrestle, they already know how to, that’s how they got to be top indie guys.

They don’t need to be spending years down there in the PC if they are a major indie talent unless there just isn’t the space to do anything with them on the main roster.

:dahell: The PC cost millions of dollars to run and it isn't proven to work better than the previous option.

Ppl in the 6/7 rounds played from little league to college.

PC is mostly filled with ppl who've never wrestled.

He's specifically made an expectation for former indy guys who the WWE always "touched up" and ran through OVW/FCW.

The issue is the ppl who start from the ground up.
Again your argument is flawed because you're acting like FCW wasn't a PC. Why would they get rid of a facility that is designed to train people?

Honestly it’s Vince not liking the Triple H’s vision of talent is the root of this issue. While Black and Gold was mostly headlined by the Indy guys, the homegrown stars would be just as over on the takeovers. They would debut hot on the main roster, and crash out a few months later when Vince was done with them.

Besides the fact that list didn’t include women like Bianca, Liv, Carmella etc, they should come back in 5 years and let’s see what Triple H does with next crop of superstars

Because it wasn't. FCW wasn't run by WWE, it was an independent wrestling promotion that WWE had a working relationship with. Even the wrestlers who were in both FCW and NXT said the 2 were very different.

FCW was more like OVW, so it's funny how you're only harping on 1 and not both

It was the official developmental territory for the WWE. If you watch the FCW documentary on the network you'll see that the wrestlers themselves knew that a PC was necessary. They went from basic gym equipment with one ring, to a state of the art facility with multiple rings to train in. So anyone thinking that the PC isn't valuable doesn't have a clue of what they're talking about.

So was OVW at one point. So was that a PC as well?

Yes, Wherever the WWE sent their wrestlers to get their primary training is a PC for them. The WWE would sign you and then send you to OVW to get trained.

Yup. Even Punk did reps down here for like, a year to acclimate to the change in style and presentation
