Most of the women in my gym are out of shape. For black women our issues stems primarily from diet, but a sedentary lifestyle doesn’t help. When I was 20 I used to work in a call center and out of my class of twenty all of my female classmates packed on 20 to 30lbs in one year. They would order Red Lobster for lunch daily and since everyone around them was getting fat...no one noticed their own weight gain. A lot of black women eat extremely poorly...I see them in the gym and they all end up across the street at Panera bread after a non vigorous work out.

What’s wrong with Panera Bread?

Stop with the excuses. We know and many people have observed the lack of gym participation by black women. While corelation =/= causation, it does make it a major factor.
If black women can spend a lot of time and money on their hair (or what they put on their head then it stands to reason that they can spend that time and money at the gym and on better eating habits.

Weight loss starts in the kitchen not the gym. Regardless of how much someone exercises, if they’re not eating properly then nothing will change in their appearance.

I go to the gym regularly but I didn’t actually start seeing any results in my appearance until I changed up my diet.

I see black women in my gym everyday and I can probably say a handful of them look to be in decent shape.. it’s the food, not necessarily the exercise.

I mean..i didnt read the study...but if its based on BMI or some shyt then these numbers are higher than it should be. Someone like 6' 215 is considered "obese" when that is probably stretching it and doesnt take into account muscle mass etc

Im just trying to find a way to explain how high these numbers are. Like the country is mindbogglingly fat

People like this are a minuscule part of the population.

If BMi can accurately and quickly predict 90% of people then the edge cases arent a big deal.

Comprehension is not your strong point. Where in my post did I give any excuses? I said that black women are primarily over weight because of diet...which is true for most people. Diet will always trump exercise when it comes to weight loss. Exercise is necessary but diet is key to maintaining a healthy weight. You just responded with a whole bunch of nothing.
I agree. Now black women should start eating better. Diet is more important than exercise when it comes to weight.
However, I'll still maintain that if black women spent more time at the gym and less at the salon putting in weaves, they wouldn't have such health problems that stem from obesity.

How do you convince your girl to lose weight. We need to hold black women accountable. I looked up what my girl should weigh and I was flabbergasted.. my girl is considered obese :mjcry:

Virtually all basketball and football athletes from high school on up are considered obese.

It’s expressly doesn’t take into account average women’s body fat percentages or weight distributions (i.e. breast and butt weight), or a whole host of other factors.

In fact, the average US weight is 10lbs heavier than two decades ago, completely devoid of changes in diet or exercise routines, largely due to chemical changes in food.

So women are more obese than us but yet more entitled :ohhh::lolbron:

This graph is why I say the body image narrative put forth by white feminists is only reflective of cac culture

They make it sound like men have a green light to be :flabbynsick:while they have to starve themselves; In reality white men have only a slightly higher rate, and in black and latino populations women are decisively more obese

But only men are allowed to be fat in society tho :duck:
