Wait a minute, Lebron put Jaxon Hayes on the bench? That's crazy

That shyt does not feel like a viable defensive strategy. Like yeah Julius and Jaden will miss some but these are nba players lol. You can’t give them warm up jumpers without a defender near them. This is what pissed me off. It's not like Timberwolves were making tough shots or anything, they had so much space with each three they took.
Lakers gameplan was just hopes n prayers that they miss
Then you look at a team like Thunder and they defending every single little thing![]()
Yes there is, the NBA literally keeps of record of stats based on that.Misleading. There's really no such thing as tight/very tight contested made threes
Any highlight video wil show you standard closeouts on most of those shots

In NBA shooting statistics, "tight" refers to a defender being within 2-4 feet of the shooter, while "very tight" means the defender is within 0-2 feet. These terms are used to categorize the closeness of a defender to a shooter when analyzing shooting accuracy and efficiency.
There was no attempt where Lakers played tight or very tight defense going by those distances. That level of contest is few and far between. But it does look good and sensational for that twitter post

Even if you don't agree with that shyt, the main point still matters that Lakers still gave up 27 wide open threes.
Look at the majority of these threes, they are wide open.
You provided me with data for the regular season when I am talking specifically about the Lakers/Wolves game.I already gave you that data and distances that T/VT are not significant contest ranges in any game
Most threes are WO attempts. I gave you the chart/data. Read it

LAKERS ARE IMPLEMENTING
THAT MAVS STRATEGY FROM
LAST PLAYOFFS WHERE THEY JUST
LOAD THE PAINT TO PROTECT LUKA
AND DARE TEAMS
TO BEAT THEM WITH THE 3 BALL.
IT DIDNT WORK AGAINST
SGA BECAUSE HE KEPT
STOPPING ON A DIME
AND PULLING
UP IN THE MID RANGE
AND DIDNT WORK
AGAINST THE CELTICS BECAUSE
THEY HAVE SHOOTERS EVERYWHERE.
WE'LL SEE HOW LONG
IT HOLDS UP FOR LA.
Lebron and Rui would say differentlyThe Lakers don’t willingly give up open 3s, it’s just a personnel issue of not having a legit defensive anchor, a 40-year-old and two white cats who don’t move the needle on that end of the floor.
With all the space that needs to be covered and the amount of aid that any particular player might need on any given defensive possession, it’s no wonder they struggle to stop teams from shooting open shots.
That won’t change until they make adjustments to the roster. It’s really as simple as that.
