My whole thing is you can stash Hamilton on the 53 but not have him active in the 45, just too much potential and nastiness in his game to risk/give up right now. I know of a similar situation in 2007 where they waived Matt Moore hoping he'll clear waivers but was scooped up by the Panthers. The front office still rues the decision especially since they kept Brad Johnson for two years instead.

hamilton went to DALLAS carter COWBOYS high school and took a pay cut to come here over bigger offers. jerry better not fool around.

silva is a decent backup. i dont see him and johnson making the roster unless we take 5 receivers.

No way he cuts Hamilton. We don't have that type of freedom where we can just cut true pass rushers like it's nothing. Hamilton knows how to get to the Qb. Ware been doing it on his own too long
Looking forward to the Dolphin game though, so many spots up for grabs:
6th WR (maybe): Coale vs Holmes (someone may have to fight Jerry to keep Holmes of the 53, may have to be Stephen/Jason to do it. But Holmes will get a lot of targets)
3rd RB: Tanner vs Olawale vs Dunbar (Tanner will probably win anyway cause of pass blocking capabilities and special teams, Olawale and Dunbar are playing for ps spot/s)
Final LB spot: Lemon vs Albright vs Hamilton (Albright and Hamilton could both be on the final 53 but Lemon played well this preseason and may be claimed when waived)
5th CB: Butler's to lose
4th S: Silva vs Johnson (With Johnson's latest hamstring injury it has raised questions on his durability but Butlers ability to play safety may keep Silva on PS)

-jerry better not be attached to holmes. he needs to take his L and keep it moving. this isn't the first time one of your pets has failed us jerry.
-tanner is the last protector on punts. important position and a sign that he has made the team over the other two who are good PS players.
-i'm not so sure lemon isn't better than connor. truthfully, he deserves a spot on this team. he's put in his work on the PS the last 2 years. that's a guy i'm rooting for.
-butler sowed up the 5th spot last week. plus he can play safety.
we'll get a good read on these players tomorrow b/c miami is playing their starters.

revis can't hang with dez. i wish we played them again this year. sept 5th is dez's coming out party. he's going to let out all that pent up frustration from the offseason that night.
