how do you feel about Albright breh?

albright is a player. he's a high motor guy with good size who can play outisde and inside...and a little tight end too. plus he's a good special teams contributor. defintely on the 53.

idk why hamilton isn't good at special teams. if he's going to be a 4th or 5th linebacker, he needs to contributor somewhere else.

Another dude I think should make the team is Mana Silva.... But is might cost us Mat Johnson .... I think we might have to put Johnson on IR or the PUP list to make room for him because dude is a player!

I've been seeing people say that Dez Bryant is a freak athletically... and I agree but what is it they see to make that call? Not slighting dude at all....just trying to get a heads up....

meh i'm not impressed with our safety depth at all. silva has played good and i think he's on 1st team special teams. he hits hard but can he cover? reminds me of keith davis.

if we're gonna keep it 1hunnid, matt johnson hasn't earned a spot on this team. but he'd get scooped up quickly if we dropped him. which is why i'd consider putting him on IR. problem with IR is you're not allowed to practice with the team.

What is it that folks see in Johnson. He has been hurt and not had enough time to show anything. People speak like he is Ronnie Lott.

That was said by Tim Macmahon who made his roster projections today.

He also stated that FB Shaun Chapus would make the team because he's on the first team kick return... but fails to mention that WR Raymond Radway was a first team gunner on the kickoff team was waived yesterday.

My point is that of the 53 only 45 players can be made active on gameday so Hamilton could make the team but just won't be active in the games. Just because you start on special teams in preseason don't mean you made the club.

They worst thing that happened to Roy was losing Darren Woodson in 2004. It was reported that when Roy was a rookie he would try leave asap, but Woodson would catch him and made him lift and breakdown tape and stuff. So when Woodson had to retire; Roy's career slipped.

first of all he's our fourth pick in a year where we traded away our 2nd round pick so he is valuable in that regard. he is built pretty stoutly from the few pictures ive seen of him and he is a playmaker. he had 17 interceptions at eastern washington. i like him, but he is way too behind to contribute this season.

you make a good point about radway. the thing i would say is that hamilton hasn't shown anything on special teams. he's barely even played on that unit this preseason. that's strange. nearly all backup olb have to play special teams to make it on the active roster. chapas also could make it if the cowboys feel that witten wont be ready for the regular season and they decide to go with 2 fullbacks instead of another tight end. me personally, i want hamilton on this team. we finally got a player who hits the qb with some ferociousness (no offense to ware) and we're going to let him go b/c of special teams? 2009 was the special teams draft. jerry drafted all special teams guys. what happened? 2 years later our special teams are still average to below average. i hope they don't overthink this, hamilton will get scooped within 3 minutes of being waived.

My whole thing is you can stash Hamilton on the 53 but not have him active in the 45, just too much potential and nastiness in his game to risk/give up right now. I know of a similar situation in 2007 where they waived Matt Moore hoping he'll clear waivers but was scooped up by the Panthers. The front office still rues the decision especially since they kept Brad Johnson for two years instead.
