Going to the movies alone....

Ok let me break this down to you...do you have to call your friend b4 you go to the gym?

Do you have to call your guy/girl friend when you have the urge to go buy yourself something?

There is nothing wrong with going to the movies with someone....but why must you consult with someone before you make a move to do something?

You trying to imply that people don't have friends because they might want to do something and don't feel insecure that they have to be seen with someone.

I never ask my friends to go to the movies. Never. My off days are fukked up and when I rarely hit the theater its the 10-11am showing. I Me and my friends hit the bar-hot spot up, cats come thur my spot and watch the game, If I got a female its either a lounge/bar/restaurant/my crib-her crib. I'm just not a big social-movie dude. If I got a new chick the movies isn't the first choice imo

Whenever I am able to take a day off of work and do "nothing", I always look forward to going to the movies. I am a movie fanatic, so I LOVE going to the movie theater alone. I usually only do it during matinee hours though. The main reason being that it is alot easier to walk from theater to theater during the day. No one questions it. So sometimes I spend the whole day watching movies. Buy one ticket then when the movie is over, walk into another movie and so on. My record is 4 movies in one day.
I take a back pack full of candy inside, and ride out. I usually only end up buying one large drink (with refills), so the cost is minimal. When I take my girl out to a movie at night, it costs and arm and leg!

Concerts are social activities to me more than a movie. When I am at a movie whether alone or with a gang of people I am not looking top chat or cut up or share...I just want to focus on what is on the screen.

LOL @ all of the nikkas criticizing other nikkas for going to the movies alone. I'm sorry we don't live such clichéd existences. Try living outside of the box for once in your life. You've been brainwashed that a movie is a place to go with dates, or with friends. It doesn't have to be that way and in most cases it's not anymore enjoyable.

Now, one can make an argument for going to see 'The Hangover' with friends. I get that. I'd never go see a movie like that alone..... But if Mario Puzo is resurrected and decides that he's going to write The Godfather 4 chances are going with Becky or Kelly or Shaniqua is not going to heighten your movie going experience any. If anything, it will ruin it. So would going with my boys....especially the ones that don't really care for movies like I do.

Concerts and Sporting events are different.

Last movie I saw dolo was The Longest Yard because nobody but me wanted to see it

I don't want to share my experience during a movie, I want people to shut the fukk up and watch the movie so going to a flick alone is fine with me.
Concerts and sporting events are experiences I enjoy sharing with people so I go to those things with other people.

Nothing to do with feeling insecure. If Im gonna spend dough on a movie might as well enjoy the company of some friends. If I'm gonna watch a movie alone i can just download that joint and watch in my draws
