I like Kong but if we're keeping real, this movie should be done 5 minutes after they meet.

Godzilla fans will be fuming at how dumb they make him just so that the two can have a somewhat fair battle.

Motherfukking Godzilla can shoot atomic blasts from his mouth. He can absorb nuclear energy and levelled a city using his sonic blasts in the last movie. Literally killed that 3 headed monster in the end by STEPPING on him.

But okay yeah, Kong was given growth hormones off-screen and has a giant axe in the trailer, so I guess that evens shyt out

They mixed live sets and practical effects with CGI instead of going full computer like most movies do now. Problem is now most directors are too lazy and not creative enough to mix practical with CGI. Much easier to just do everything on a computer so we end up with video games instead of something that feels real and authentic

I would agree with you but very few directors are actually given a generous budget and generous time period to film. The media company or a top producer can have the final say when it comes to the overall spending.
A good chunk of the budget will be spent on the talent, marketing and advertisement. And therefore cgi is cheaper, less technical and much preferred method.

I tried to “rationalize” why the fukk is this woman letting her child speak/play with a 100 foot gorilla...then I seen the clip of kong and godzilla squaring off on that aircraft carrier and said fukk all that!
