I could only imagine how it mustve been in NY considering how biased they were at one point

I wonder if people would still call the Hoy Boyz legends if Wayne didnt have the solo success that he did:patrice:

:wtf:

cash money was HUGE on the east coast. selling out shows.

back when lil wayne was generally seen as the weakest of the hot boys, and was basically a mascot attraction for the women & children.

wayne is a product of cash money. not the other way around.

cash money was more popular than dre/snoop/eminem in 2000s urban america.

as far as mixing goes, cash money just finished up the tour with ruff ryder.

I wonder how things would've turned out if Juve & BG stayed out of trouble. Wayne did a great job carrying CMR after them, but back then he was seen as way weaker than them.

Well, they had a couple years on him anyway.

Sean Paul was popping in 00? ain't he blow in 02?

He was definitely on the come up at the time. He was in that little cameo in Belly which was 98.

deport them (bookshelf riddim) was popping back in 98.....He def was ringing off but he didn't blow until 2002 with Dutty Rock (but his first album Stage one popped off....bookshelf riddim still pops off heavy today and he had one of the hottest joints on there....along with Sasha-sexy Body)

yea. and they packed these venues with black folks. unlike the "up in smoke tour" which looked like a limp bizkit concert.

its crazy how history has been distorted.

BG & turk were teenagers just like wayne breh. they just stressed wayne's age alot more, probably so he could stand out; cuz baby always wanted wayne to be the man. they were even giving wayne more promotion than juvi.

juvi wasnt in trouble. he was beefing with birdman over money, and it kept slowing his career up.

and when they left, the big tymers carried cash money. wayne didnt get hot until gillie da kid.

The World, but from BK
If i remember correctly, in early 2000's they had summer jam on regular cd's..not dvd, just audio on a cd. I might still have one.

I went back and looked in my old bootleg stash...ddn't find it, but I found a lot of others. Took a pic of a few.

Them bootleggers on 125th used to keep me fed. Back then I was buying everymixtape and "best of" mixtapes
