It might not even be Ragnarok. It might be a 2nd of 3 based on Fimbulwinter, and the 3rd being Ragnarok. Who knows, really.



Either way, if whatever game they release is PS5 only and comes out in 2021, what with the shortage(perceived or real) a buncha people are going to make questionable decisions to get their hands on some hardware.

imagine what a studio like Santa Monica can do with the PS5? all those limitations gone. I don't think we're ready for the set pieces and gameplay sequences we are going to see. That's why I think it has been shrouded in secrecy with zero footage IMO.

Played for a little bit then bounced
Still looking forward to HZD2 but that's only because I want as many PS5 showcase games as possible
I can't see Sony releasing PS5 only Returnal in April, PS5 only R&C in June, and finishing off the year with cross gen HZD2 Dumbass Sony and GG underestimating current gen thirst and the need for next gen gameplay
GOW delayed to Fall 2022 after showing a damn near Hollywood movie scene as gameplay

I better see Nov/Dec 2021 or March 2022 at the worst if delay
Playing a PS5 only GOW during the holidays with a cold Ragnarok as the theme would be
Perfect game for the holidays not cross gen HZD2

Prepare to be disappointed

shortages will last all of 2022 according to Sony and their silicone chip manufacturers
Sony also reported they want to make a certain amount of software profit by march 2022, the end of their fiscal year
they stated they want the same or more software revenue than last time
the only way that is going to happen is if Ragnarok releases by the 1st half of 2022
MM sales also will make Sony revaluate their software strategy
MM has sold a lot of units and is close to Spiderman already
Already outsold GOT and TLOU2 because of the high PS5 attachment rate
The same will happen for Ragnarok whether it releases this year, the 1st half of 2022, or later
