Whether he will be brutally murdered or just have all his powers stripped from him and turned into a frail regular man is the question. It's likely you'll take over as Atreus and have to kill kratos but he'll be okay with it and will probably genuinely smile for the first and last time.

Her profile says, “cinematic producer” maybe has something to do with the trailer/SoP. A lot of devs posted on twitter it was their last day working on the game or at the studio so i assume the game is done.

I got the complete opposite feeling here. I'm expecting a Fallout 4 situation. A big reveal, and then a release date in 6 months. The developers have reiterated a few times that its coming out this year.
