I kinda don’t want to play as a$$hole kratos again

To be fair Kratos was already mellowing down by the end of the trilogy, no? If I remember right - in GOW 3 he went out of his way to try and find a way of opening Pandora’s box without killing Pandora. GOW 1 and GOW 2 Kratos would have taken her out the paint without blinking. I’ve not played those games in a minute though.

the destruction of Greece as consequence of his actions was probably a major catalyst to his development/change - alongside meeting Faye, of course

Yeah, it would be kind of interesting to see where his head was at post-destruction of greece but pre-faye

In the comic that covers this, he flees to Egypt and tried to ditch the blades. He’s basically a vagabond but an Egyptian god basically tortured him until he agrees to help his village.

The comic apparently isn’t that great but I still think it could be an area to touch on. If not in a solo game maybe as part of a future sequel, since it is cannon, apparently.

I assume he needed the towers to travel between realms - he was going around cosplaying as the people he threw in that prison in Niflheim

maybe also needed them for his minions to travel between realms. he did have Hirst and Mist pop up in Muspelheim

and he was trying to get that mask completed for centuries, no?

He was, but I don’t know if the towers being operational is a prerequisite for him to be able to do that.

He also at the dwarves building weapons for him as he prepped and I’m not sure those could be teleported with the crows

You play as the Boy

Really enjoying the production for what it’s worth. Graphics, writing, voice acting etc top notch. A step up from the first IMO. Actually playing on PS4 and the graphics hold up really well compared to “next gen” games. Framerate is just but that’s expected.

But i also feel the gameplay hasn’t improved much from the first. Everything is overly concerned with being a cinematic spectacle. Gameplay just kinda feels like an excuse to experience the story/production. Gameplay is very shallow in comparison to other hack n slash/action games. And QTE in 2022 is just straight up

Looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here
