I mean take it for what it’s worth but so far 4 “insiders” at the other place have either said they haven’t heard anything or it’s still slated for 2022

Do with that as you will :yeshrug:

From Jason

Heard from another Sony source this morning that the game is not delayed. As usual, this is not a guarantee that the game will come out in 2022 and video game development is so turbulent that you should never trust a release date until the product in question is in your hands. But this Gamereactor report appears to be false.

Also, FWIW, I haven't heard anything suggesting it'll be at the Keighley thing today.

God of War: Ragnarok Seemingly Planned for Release in November

The game may have been planned for a September launch, but is now looking at November.

God of War: Ragnarok is seemingly planned for a November release, after rumors of a delay to 2023.

Bloomberg reports that the long-awaited sequel will see a formal release date announcement this month, with a planned November date. IGN has also heard about a planned November release from sources with inside knowledge.

The Bloomberg report also says that the game was originally planned for release in September but subsequently pushed to November – and IGN has also heard this information. That original September slot is seemingly now filled by the Last of Us Part 1 remake announced yesterday.

After being announced for a 2021 release, the return of Kratos and Atreus was eventually delayed into 2022 (apparently because of surgery undergone by lead voice actor Christopher Judge). However, a long period of silence around the game led to rumors that it had been delayed once more – despite the game receiving a South Korean rating, which often signals a game due for release soon.

As Bloomberg's Jason Schreier points out, internal release dates can themselves slip, so a planned November release doesn't necessarily guarantee one – but it's a good sign that the game will come sooner rather than later.

God of War: Ragnarok picks up from the Norse reboot for the classic action series, and a gameplay trailer showed us a familiar mix of fantasy combat, and family bickering. The game will finally introduce Thor, and will seemingly introduce some exciting changes to the action systems.
