I can also show you a video of a man from London who said the biggest differences between London and American hoods is that London did not have pure black areas. Areas that are 90% black.


Montreal where I have family also has areas with high concentrations of black but there is no hood over there that is as black as Southside Chicago or even East Flatbush in Brooklyn which are close to over 90% black.



the word “overwhelmingly” black is subjective. A 50% black area would be considered diverse in American standards

I looked up the percentage of black people in Jane and Finch and Wikipedia has the entire community of both sides of Jane and Finch being under 50% black as a whole. the black population is the largest but in American standards an area under 50% black would not be considered a “black” neighborhood.
