Man...I hope Cowboy is able to play at a high level all game cuz if we can't get pressure on ARod, it's a wrap. GB's receivers are :wow:.

On the offensive side of the ball we need to just establish the run early and get everyone involved. AJ needs to show up. I really hope Roman doesn't get too cute.

Go 9ers!

I can't wait for next week. I know the defense is gonna be ready to go, just like last year. It'll be interesting to see what type of gamelan we come out with. Do we try and establish the run, out do we come out throwing.
Also, does VD get involved or do we rely on Crabtree?

Yep I was thinking the same exact thing this game is all on Romans gameplan dude has been schizo all year .. chances are GB will key on Crabs and take him away by putting Williams on him .. this game should be all about Gore LMJ and VD and not to put this game on Kaep to try to make plays

As for the D it's all on our DBs and if we can't get to Rodgers without blitzing its gonna look like the Pats game second half the key on D is to limit Cobb in the slot which is tough and the swing passes that to the RBs on the flats because let's face it were not gonna be able to take away all their weapons but we should be able to contain their run game

If I see 3 straight pass plays to start the game I'll lose my shyt. I think Crabs can handle Tremon...

Gotta say my worries mirror yours here. If we don't get any pressure, might as well call it a day.

I expect nothing from AJ though, not even hating on him, he just hasn't been brought along at all so no reason toe expect anything from him.

Roman needs to be heavily monitored by Harbaugh honestly, the guy gets way too cute and starts feeling himself on some Mike Martz shyt.

The way Crabtree been playing lately, I think we might see a big game from him.

They're a different team than week one though, they were running Cobb out of the backfield and not even running the ball then.

Now they got Harris/Grant doing an alright job at running the ball and we got Kaepernick instead of Smith and are missing Mario/KW and no kicker whereas Akers hit a 63 yarder week 1, it's like two totally different teams out there.

Nothing is different, whoever wins the line of scrimmage wins the game

I believe the niners win that on both lines of scrimmage again

How can u say nothing is different compared to week one? I dont get your logic behind this. We have Harris who has been running very hard and Grant who is a 4th quarter back both who were not in the game in week one. Our O and D are better then week one. I dont see how any fan of any team can measure a game from week one at all.

Onto the game...Only one thing concerns me about this game. Niners front 7. Our O-line,as shytty as it is,is pee wee status against physical teams. They did ok against the Bears and Vikings who have respectful front 7's,but i can't compare when it comes to playoff time. If we come out flat,Niners have a huge chance to take a big lead and make us one dimensional and put Mccarthy into panick mode and lose. Also,we need to do what we did last week and dink and dunk our way instead of looking for a big play. Seriously i wont be surprise if we win or lose. Both teams are the crop of the NFC. This is like some Colts vs. Pats shyt back in mid 2000's. I'll see u guys next week. Here's to a good game. And may the winner beat the Falcons or Seattle

you said it yourself, if you guys are getting stuffed early on i expect mccarthy to totally abandon the run like he did last time. i mean last time your runs were getting stuffed at the line whether it was your base or 3-4 wrs sets. i just cant see him sticking to the run and keep facing third and long, rodgers is good but no qb will be successful under that formula.

sure somethings are different, j smith isnt 100% but i expect him to be somewhat decent. your o-line is different as well

i think this game comes down to whether you defense can force turnovers. niners will run and throw deep unlike the first game.

the game is intriguing, it could go both ways. if this game was played today i think gb would of had a great chance to win, niners are a worn down team who needed the bye desperately.

Barclay and Evan Dietrich Smith are better run blockers than Jeff Saturday and Bryan Bulaga. They been giving the rookie Barclay help with TEs and RBs chipping pass rushers off the edge.

Like bboy said, we need to dink and dunk and use screens and quick slants. The deep shid won't work for us because Rodgers won't have time for it and he will get sacked or hit.

I fully expect an L, I just see the 49ers dominating the line of scrimmage and controlling the clock.

Nelson tweaked his ankle, Finley had cramps. But they should be good to go on Saturday night.

I think the Niners DB's can play the Packers receivers straight up again like they did in Week 1. The wild card is Cobb, because they didn't really use him effectively in week one. I expect him to have a substantial role this time around.
Green Bay's running game has been good enough to make teams respect the play fake, but if the Niners can stuff the run early on, then the Packers will be in trouble. I could see Rodgers attempting 45+ passes this game.

The Packers run D played their asses off this last game. It'll be interesting to see if they keep it up against the Niners. Last game, Gore was able to bounce it outside and get big gains. This is exactly how AD had been killing them in the 2 regular season games. This past game, the Packers made it a point to limit Peterson on those outside plays and it somewhat worked to their advantage.
Raji is a beast in the middle, so look for some of those wham plays with the line getting to the second level and the lb's.

For the Niners on Offense, Crabs is going to get all the attention, and rightfully so. I'm looking for Moss to make some plays and for VD to step it up. Also, Walker will get some shine, too (probably catch a TD or 2). Like @LastEmperor2k2 said, I don't expect anything from AJ. If he gives us anything, then that's an added bonus.

Overall, I expect this to be the best game of the weekend.

Yeah I couldn't read the rest of dudes post after that.

Everything is fukking different. Packers established a run game and their defense isn't lousy like it was then.

Gore was fresh week one, Gore looks tired and run down the last couple weeks of the regular season. We have a different QB who has started only 7 games. Justin Smith's arm might be fukked for all we know. We can't make a 40 yard field goal. Kendall Hunter is out, Manningham is out, Williams is out. LMJ is now our KR.

I don't see how you can possibly think these are the 2 same teams from week 1.
