I know this show is 100% character stereotypes but that welfare queen shyt is more than pushing it which is odd since CACs rule the welfare recipient world
It's not off at all. Cacs have always pushed the narrative that black people milk the welfare system while ignoring that white people are the vast majority of people who are on welfare. The term Welfare Queen originated from Regan using coded language to talk about poor, single, black moms.

Bit of a drop off this season, was kind of hopin with the foundation already built last year, s2 would delve deeper into the machinations behind the arts. But its basically just a sitcom about the girls of gorgeous ladies of wrestling. The saving grace being the blend of characters, their chemistry and episodes only being 30ish minutes. Less excited for s3 than I was for this tbh

Just finished... shyt was piff..

Awesome Kong is a great actress. She was one of the few wrestlers i wanted to follow, but her acting is so on point hat i hope her career takes off.

Alison Brie is good as usual. Been checking her since Community.

Betty Gilpin.... wow, dat ass. I remember them breasts from Nurse Jackie, but I had no idea what she had below.

Bash is closeted as hell, and I'm hoping he didn't catch that pack.

Props to Chavo for training these ladies. Excellent work.

:banderas:Season 2 was amazing, even better than season one. I really enjoyed seeing Sam grow into being a parent and start to truly care for Justine. The overall theme of parenthood was executed perfectly with welfare queen and her college age son, liberty belle and her toddler and Sam and a teenage Justine. The show is really hitting it's stride and I am eagerly awaiting Season 3.

I think Season 2 was amazing. Yeah, at points not as funny, but it didn't have to be.

There was literally no point where it dragged. No storylines (whether ,.B or even C or D plot) was unnecessary or pointless. It all worked from start to finish and that is a miracle in itself.

People always talk about how most Netflix shows aren't TV shows but are just 1/2 movies split into 10/13 episodes, and they're right. But seeing this show's second season proves that that isn't a bad thing. It's just that other shows have been doing it wrong.

This worked on every level. Perfect amount of episodes. Perfect episode length. Perfect amount of each character.

I don't really rate seasons or even rate shows, but I'm finding it hard to not say that S2 of GLOW isn't damn near a 10/10. Nothing is perfect TV but this season was as close to it as you could get.
