Because IW introduced what the stones could do. In EG they got rid of them and relied on a remix movie. FWIW, I liked EG on second watch more than the first time. :manny:

i kinda agree

in fact it's possible the content in Infinity War and Endgame could've been 3 films

Movie 1: IW as is

Movie 2:

the immediate impact of the snap across the universe:
for example the panic and terror of the snap on Earth u can have a real horror/shaky cam vibe with terrified citizens filming the destruction via phone

5 years pass from the snap Avengers are hopeless regroup and complete time travel plan

this film ends with 2014 Thanos arriving on Earth after Hulk snapped everyone back

Movie 3:

solely Thanos and his army vs Avengers and their army, even more opportunities for the heroes to do cool shyt since this is as of now the only time all the MCU heroes were fighting together

:manny:
So movie is essentially end game without the final battle? :mjlol:

The whole time travel shyt was wack, it bogged down the movie. Mainly because those sequences weren’t serious and just fan service stuff for common folk

like what is the consequence of Cap telling crossbones hail hydra. That’s some wild shyt just to throw in a film for laughs. The Robert Redford cameo was dope though. Didn’t think he had it in him to still do it.

The black widow , Hawkeye soul stone scene was groan inducing. Skipping all of hulks transitioning :dame: and then wasting all that screen time with him joking around was cringe.

Them having no memory of the erase was a cop out.
The opening scene of spiderman far from home basically shrugged it all off.

The dread and dispear in Infinity War was legendary. IW Thanos was 1985 Unicron status, end game thanos was borderline Batman & Robin villain status.

I do think it was mistake to not have a movie ready to go after spider-man. Not counting COVID , that’s a long gap in between movies.

End Game needed a little more action, otherwise it was really good. Better story telling than IW, which was kinda muttled/weirdly paced in the beginning but got good in the middle and finished real strong.

Yeah, I wonder about how a MCU movie will be received after this long break and with them not having an established overarching story yet. Will people miss them and really be into Black Widow or have people moved on and the MCU has to work hard to get people's interest back?

Endgame failed? In what reality did this happen? People can say they were disappointed and understandably so but saying it failed is just flat out incorrect.
Yeah, I believe it was critically better received than IW and it is the highest grossing movie of all time. Think it is just a hot take in the title to garner interest in the thread. lol

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
That's what I was hoping for :francis:Spider-man far from home confirmed they not even trying to go that deep and said fukk it everyone back n back to normal :mjlol::mjlol:

I've posted this video before in the End Game thread but I'll post it again for people who haven't seen it. It's a "What If?" scenario on what would happen if half the world disappeared.

I think what people also don't realize is how horrifying it would be if half of the population returned five years later after people have accepted what had happened and tried to get back to some normalcy. I've read some articles in the past year and that scenario would be chaotic.
You and your Avengers friends just had to bring everyone back, didn't you? :leostare:
